I shared this document in Trello, but since it may be hard to find things in Trello, I will post it here.

It is not focused on the longitudinal model, but I think such a document can be a great help – no matter which model we use.

Vision 

The 2021 SACME Annual Meeting will be a globally recognized scientific and networking event with participants from all major countries.  

Mission 

The mission of the 2021 SACME Annual Meeting is to provide networking and learning opportunities to all SACME members and support the dissemination of CME/CPD knowledge and discovery as ongoing conversations between CPD professionals and their extended networks. Attendees should gain insight in practical concepts they can implement in their local context and build supportive connections with their peers. 

Objectives 

• Host the first Virtual SACME Annual Meeting 
• Leverage technology to support outstanding CPD in the era of social distancing 
• Boost SACME’s international impact (for example: participants from 7 continents) 
• Start developing robust mechanisms for international collaboration (research, teaching, practice, personal career development, etc.)  
• Learn and share with the CME/CPD community 
• Produce a white paper that examines the delivery of successful virtual learning conferences 

Strategies  

Driver extended conference format that combines live videoconferencing sessions and the asynchronous online collaboration in a virtual learning environment.  

Action Plans
